There's an absolutely killer nutrient -- an amino acid -- which everyone from the best athletes to the most hardcore computer programmers use to absolutely double their performance. It helps the average become better, and the better become the best... at whatever they do. For instance, winner's of the 1998 US Super Bowl, the Denver Broncos, religiously use this nutrient. It's one of their 'secret weapons'. Yet it's fully safe, natural, and of course, legal. While it can increase your performance at everything you do, it also has many other functions. You see, it's one of the only things your brain uses to manufacture certain essential chemicals that control how well your brain and body work. So the use of this nutrient, because it boosts the function of your brain (the very seat of your existence), improves a great many areas of your life. Here's some information on how this nutrient works, and it's benefits: Again, it has all of these wonderful effects, and even a few more peripheral ones, because it affects you at such a deep, foundational level. In comparison, think about how you change your computer's 'operating system' every few years, or upgrade it's main processor. Each such upgrade affects every single program on your computer for the better. This nutrient is like that. It's like giving you a new operating system or central processor, a better foundation upon which the whole of your entire life rests. It's pretty powerful! This almost magical nutrient is called 'phenylalanine'. As I stated before, it's an amino acid; one of 22 known amino acids. Amino acids are something you eat every day, in the form of protein. The word protein just refers to amino acids that come in a group. When you eat a steak, for instance, you're not just eating phenylalanine, you're also eating leutine, lysine, glutamine, this-a-nine, that-a-nine. You're eating a whole bunch of amino acids. You actually get totally different effects by taking this amino acid alone than when you get it in food, precisely because the amino acids in food come in a whole bunch. You see, your blood stream has little 'amino acid transport molecules'. These transport amino acids across and through a barrier between your body's bloodstream and that of your brain. In this way, everything that goes from your primary bloodstream into the bloodstream of your brain is filtered. Your body is probably designed like this because that ol' brain of yours is just so darn important to your general functioning, it's important to be picky about who gets in there. Think about it. And as you think that thought, realize that it's your brain that's doing the thinking! That's how important your brain is.Now, this filtering type phenomenon I've just described presents a problem. There are only so many of these transport molecules -- these little amino acid ships, if you prefer-- to take amino acids to your brain... so all of the amino acids in your bloodstream compete for the limited number of ships. It's like people pining for a ship to a better country -- only so can get through. So, to get all of the effects I've described above, you need to take this amino acid on an empty stomach. That way, there's no competition for these amino acid ships. It's easy to be the life of the party when you're the only one that shows up! As much phenylalanine as there are ships 'jump aboard' and go directly to your brain. Ahhh... and you feel good. Real good. Perhaps even a little... oh... irresistible... perhaps? Mmm?Actually, to get the full effects I've listed above, you should also take vitamins B-6 and C with the phenylalanine. Vitamin B-6 is kind of like a 'trigger' or 'command' nutrient. It tells your brain to start converting other nutrients -- like phenylalanine -- into neurotransmitters. Your body uses vitamin C as a building block for certain chemicals. In fact, it's also used in part to make the neurotransmitters noradrenaline and dopamine that I talked about early. So you should be sure to take plenty of Vitamin C with your phenylalanine, as well. One of the combinations you can try is this:500 mg phenylalanine Take this mixture on an empty stomach, being careful never to use more than two and a half grams of phenylalanine a day, your highest limit. The best time I've found to take this nutrient is right in the morning, shortly after I wake up and before I eat anything. After ingesting, I wait about an hour to eat -- to ensure that the amino acid and other nutrients have had plenty of time to work their magic.Another way you can take phenylalanine and the proper 'nutrient co-factors' is with pre-made mixtures. That's what what the Denver Broncos use. They're sponsored by a company called Experimental and Applied Sciences (EAS). EAS has a mental fitness product called NeuroGain, which is supplied in unlimited quantity to the Broncos. Unfortunately, NeuroGain is designed to only really be effective when you're using other EAS products. It doesn't contain adequate amounts of vitamin C or B-6. Fortunately, though, the scientists who first popularized this combination offer these nutrients in a number of extremely well designed, easy to use products. Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw introduced this amazing nutritional information in their groundbreaking 1982 book "Life Extension: A Practical Scientific Approach". Durk Pearson was something like the second person in the history of MIT to graduate with honors in triple majors. They're absolute megabrains, and their company, Life Service Supplements (LSS), produces the most impressive nutritional products I've ever been exposed to, with the most astounding results.Their pre-made formulas continue to be updated over the years and have been the most effective I've ever tried -- both in terms of results and cost. I remember spending more than $100 a month on high quality forms of phenylalanine, B-6, and vitamin C. With Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw's products, a single day's dosage now costs me around 50 cents -- or $15 a month. (When I'm working on anything important, I actually take 2-3 doses a day. Even at this level of use, it's still cheaper than what a single dosage used to cost me!) That's much more reasonable... And much more effective. Gives me a lot more money to sink into other areas of my health and well-being. Their combinations also include other subtle, but supportive co-nutrients which simply give better results than the basic phenylalanine, C, and B-6 combination alone. It would've been far too complex for me to have factored these in by myself. Additionally, they insist on using only the highest quality ingredients in their products. Their vitamin C, for instance, comes from pharmaceutical producer Hoffman-Laroche. It's pure white, 100% ascorbic acid (impurities in vitamin C make it off-white, sometimes even giving it a yellowish tinge). Most other producers of vitamin C and other nutrients put cost before quality, so their products contain a ton of contaminants, like a cheap street drug would. By using only the best raw materials available, LSS's products have a more certain, almost pharmaceutical like (meaning that they work -- not that they have negative side effects) effect on you. The phenylalanine based product I now most prefer from them is called 'Mellow Blast'. It comes in the form of a 'smart drink' powder. I simply take a tablespoon of it every morning, throw it into my blender with some water and ice, and gulp it down. It gives me something infinitely better to wake up to than coffee. More details on these particular products, including tips and tricks on how best to use them, can be found in my entry on Life Service Supplements under Irresistible Sources. Please at least give them a try. For many people, they're nothing short of miraculous. You can get a Life Services Supplements catalog and newsletter subscription for free by calling 1-800-542-3230 (1-732-922-0009 internationally) and mentioning that you heard about them from Michael "Website" Ryan in Hollywood. There are no doubts this nutrient will positively impact your life in more than one way. When you try it, please write me with your success stories, no matter how small or large. I love hearing success stories of people who have achieved their ideals. |
